Hi'i came in last week to take advantage of the Mothers Day Special we are running. It was a great time to get professional photos of her and her daughter.
Time goes by so fast. Really... I remember when my first child was born 15 years ago... it feels like it was just last week. My only advice to all of you is to take pictures and take LOTS of them..... whether if its professional photos or just with your iPhone and get them printed. How many of us have a bazillion photos on our phones or on the computer (I'm so guilty of this too) and never print them. Take as many as you can because before you know it they will be graduating from high school and going off to college.

They have been best friends since the 7th grade. They are married with kids and decided to take advantage of the Mothers Day Special we were running and turn it into a girls day out.
It's still not too late. Mothers Day Special runs till the end of May. Grab your girlfriends and celebrate a girls night out.

I recently did a photo shoot and asked one of my clients if I could use her photo to launch my "I AM" project and she gracefully said yes. I explained to her that I have been getting quite a bit of emails from women across the world telling me that they don't feel beautiful, they don't feel smart, they don't feel good enough and on and on and on. I call this the "AM I" question that we tend to tell ourselves in our own head. We ask ourselves:
Am I good enough?
Am I pretty enough?
Am I skinny enough?
Am I smart enough?
Am I young enough?
Am I this ...
Am I that.....
And all I have to say is ENOUGH!! Enough to asking AM I and stay saying I AM!
I am beautiful!
I am health!
I am smart!
I am a believer!
I am a leader!
I am a strong woman!
I believe you are what you think and you are what you say. Start saying it and start BELIEVING in it!! STOP asking "AM I?" and start saying "I AM!". As women we need to start setting examples for the younger generation. Let's start showing the younger generation that as a woman we are BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, SMART and believe in what you say. If you don't believe in yourself who will? Love yourself TODAY and stop waiting for someone else to come along to love you.

It's May... and that means it to celebrate the women in your life. Your mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and daughter. My grandmother Vaitai has passed away 3 years ago. I miss her and think of her daily. I still have photos of her that are priceless. I saw this video on youtube by photographer Chris Colls and wanted to share it with all of you.

I recently did a photo shoot with Sherie Char who also writes for Honolulu Family. We did her shoot and while she was on her way out she said "hey...I should write about you". I was like...um...ok sounds good. Not thinking much of it until she sent me this link of an article she did. It totally made my day. Check it out HERE. Thank you so much Sherie.
