Friday Favorites

A few of my favorites. 

1.  Trader Joes.  When I first moved to California I had no idea who or what the heck Trader Joes was. until I came face to face with a Chocolate Croissant.  OH MY.  Really I have no words to express how good these things taste fresh out of the oven on a cold morning.

2.  Sephora eye shadow.  I am so busy with kids, work, life in general that I rarely wear much makeup.  When I do get a chance to get somewhat fixed up I love wearing this eye shadow from Sephora.  So simple and natural... just my style. 

3.  Starbucks Venti Iced Caramel Macchiatto please.  On a hot summers morning.... how can you go wrong.  This is my grown up drink and I love it.  

Transformation: Tianna

I wanted to do a photo shoot of a REAL women.  Someone who has beautiful curves and who was confident to be sexy and glamorous.  My other photog friend Geralyn suggested that we call Tianna.  She made a few calls and text and we convinced T to do the shoot.  I want women of all ages and all sizes to feel glamorous.  You don't have to be a size 2.  Anyways.... who is a size 2..... no one that I know.  Thank you Tianna for doing the shoot.... or should we say THANK YOU Quinn for convincing Tianna to shoot with us.  Love you girl and love your pics.  HOT MAMA!!!

Why did you want to do the shoot? Well let me see?? First Geralyn asked me to do it.. Then my husband responded on my behalf and said I would do it.. LOL.. And most of all.. To help My Friend Mapuana out! J

Were you nervous? Of course I was… Not too sure why though.. I’m far from shy.. I think the anticipation is what made me nervous..

How did you feel before the shoot? Anxious and Scared of the outcome…

How did you feel after the shoot?  Invigorated and Beautiful!!! 

What was the best part about the shoot?  I enjoyed feeling like a SUPERSTAR for the day!!

What advice would you give other women who are thinking about booking a Glamour/Boudoir shoot?  I would encourage every woman to do it! Feeling Glamorous & Sexy is AWESOME!

I came up with mini questionnaire that I thought would be fun for my friends & clients to answer.  My dear friend Donnie... what can I say.  She is drop dead GORGEOUS!!  I have known Donnie for 20 years.  Yes.... I can't believe it's been 20 years.  After MANY phone calls, text, and emails I was able to persuade Donnie to model for me.   Thank you so much girl.  I LOVED it and you are one foxy mama!!

Who did you do the shoot for?  Yourself/husband/boyfriend?? I really did it because I wanted to help Mapu with her portfolio....People who know me know that I don't like to take pictures. Ever. But I figured if I were ever going to do something like this, I would only have Mapu take my pictures.

Why did you want to do the shoot? I wanted to do something completely out of the box. I am not a glamour girl by any means.  I don't even own an eyeliner... I do my makeup in the car while driving to work... I roll the windows down to dry my hair while driving. I juggle raising my 2 little guys while working full time and I really wanted to treat myself to a little bit of pampering.

Were you nervous? Heck yes.  I felt nauseous for days leading up to the shoot.  I think I may have tried to reschedule a few times.

How did you feel before the shoot? Anxious, nervous, excited.

How do you feel after the shoot?  Invigorated.  ALIVE.  When it was over I wished I could do it again!

What was the best part about the shoot?  Working with Mapu and Nini.  It was a blast.  I felt like a complete idiot in the beginning but then it just got really comfortable. 

What advice would you give other women who are thinking about booking a Glamour/Boudoir shoot?  I wish all my girlfriends would sign up for this.  It is so incredibly fun... one of the best gifts I have ever given myself.  Thank you, Mapu!

My Vison

My vision is to make EVERYDAY women feel and look glamorous.  I shoot REAL women of all ages.  I shoot girls who are in high school to women who are single, married, moms, divorcees, and grandmas.  I want to document a women life and have her feel and look beautiful in her own skin.

When was the last time you took professional photos of yourself?  Really… was it your wedding photos?  If you aren’t married was it your High School Senior Portraits?  I invite you to a personal session with me to celebrate and document the person you are TODAY. I want you to see what I see.  It will change the way you feel and see yourself.  

My sister was more than happy to volunteer to be a model for my new found passion.  Just a little side note.  Not all women want to have Boudoir photos and that's ok.  Some may just want to have glamourous portraits of themselves.  This is my passion. To simply document a woman's life.  These photos of my sister are just a document of a time in her life when she was 35 and fabulous and I will continue to document her life when she is 36, 37, 38.. the big 40, 50, 60, and so on.
